Thomsons Online Benefits takes over administration of VT Group’s flexible benefits scheme

VT head of rewards and HR systems Lianne Stephens said the company was happy with the greater level of administration and technology Thomsons Online Benefits had provided.

"It has been very well received by our employees and we look forward to furthering our total reward offerings," Stephens said.

The scheme was implemented within four weeks in time for VT Group’s annual benefit selection window.

VT Group said it planned to review the benefits of the scheme and update its communication strategy.

The defence and support services company said its vision was to become the number one international government service group and in order to achieve this the company was focusing on three core values of which employee benefits was key.

Thomsons Online Benefits managing director Chris Bruce said: "Many of the original flex schemes implemented in the UK such as VT Group’s have proved to be an administrative burden. We fervently believe that what you don’t measure, you can’t improve.

"By providing VT Group with an automated end to end process we can give them not only reduced administrative costs but a real time understanding of how their flexible benefits scheme is performing and what their total employment costs are. This will enable them to pursue a consistent and controlled approach to their reward strategy," Bruce said.
