HEWITT ASSOCIATES has appointed Ian Bailey to boost its investment consulting team.
Bailey joins the consultant from BlackRock Investment Management were he was a managing director of its account management group and a director of BlackRock Pensions. He was also responsible for the fund management firm’s trustee masterclass programme.
Hewitt Associates UK head of investment consulting Andrew Tunningley said: "Bailey’s investment background and pensions expertise – along with wide-ranging skills in relationship management, sales and trustee training – will prove to be an important asset to us.
"As he also has 10 years’ experience as a scheme trustee, he has dealt with many of the issues that face our clients. I am sure this will be invaluable in understanding their viewpoint and in providing the guidance they need."

During the last year, Hewitt has added several staff to it UK investment team ¬– including Neil Smith, Caroline Allensby-Green, John Benfield, Richard Cooper, David Crum, Tim Currell, Tapan Datta, Yves Josseaume, Robert McElvanney and Zuhair Mohammed.
