Obituary: William Battersby

William Battersby - the founder of investment management consultancy, Asset Dynamics - has died aged 58 following a flying accident.

Battersby founded Asset Dynamics - a firm that helps asset managers build their business in the institutional space - in 2012 after working for more than 20 years for businesses including BNY Mellon, Julius Baer, Royal & Sun Alliance, Dimensional Fund Advisors and Robert Fleming & Co.

He was also an honorary research associate at Glasgow University; a fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and was a published author who conducted research into aspects of maritime and exploration history.

There will be a private cremation on Wednesday 9 November followed by a celebration of Battersby's life at 1.15pm at St Mary's and St Michael's church in Trumpington to which all are welcome. Refreshments will be served afterwards at nearby Ansty Hall.
