Professional Pensions Conjecture examined the key issues surrounding delegated consulting.
The debate was chaired by Hewitt Associates head of UK investment practice Andrew Tunningley - and included Hewitt Associates head of delegated consulting services Zuhair Mohammed, Allenbridge EPIC director David Somers, and JPMorgan Investor Services pensions group head Benjie Fraser.
The debate looked at the advantages of delegated consulting models; the biggest hurdles to trustees adopting these models; and questioned whether such an approach removes essential control and responsibility from trustees.
It also looked at how the delegated market will evolve over time and whether delegated consulting structures will ever extend to defined contribution schemes.
