GERMANY - Jones Lang LaSalle has hired Christian Ulbrich to spearhead its business in Germany.
Ulbrich, who joins from HIH Hamburgische Immodbilien Handlung GmbH, has been appointed managing director, reporting to Robert Orr, CEO Europe.
Ulbrich will take up his appointment on April 1 and will become a member of the firms’ European Business Board.
Commenting on the appointment, Orr said: “Christian is well established in the German real estate market and has access to most of the key players including banks, property funds and large property owners. He also has extensive experience of international investors and occupiers operating in the German market.
“A young and dynamic manager, Christian will bring an entrepreneurial element to the role in addition to his 10 years leadership and management experience.”
After joining HIH Hamburgische as one of two general managers, Ulbrich is now sole general manager, responsible for more than e1.5bn in assets under management, more than e2.3bn property under management, current developments of about e300m and managing 140 employees.
