US - The Ohio state office treasurer has appointed JPMorgan Worldwide Securities Services to provide custody and accounting services for US$92bn in assets of Ohio's public funds.
JPMorgan will now offer both global and domestic custody and securities services for the public employees' retirement system and workers compensation insurance fund through its Worldwide Securities Services unit, which is part of JPMorgan Chase.
JPMorgan Chase has 334 locations and 17,445 employees in Ohio.
JPMorgan senior VP Ed Mollahan claimed the decision to use one firm to provide all those services would benefit “the Ohio taxpayer, the funds and the treasurer’s office”.
