EUROPE - Fortis Bank Information Banking and Strategic Asset Management Solutions Limited (SAMS) have set up a new joint venture covering Benelux institutional investors.
Fortis SAMS Analytical Services targets small to medium-sized pension funds, insurance companies and fund managers in the region which do not have the resources to install or develop an in-house system.
The service aims to address investment analytics, including performance calculations, benchmark comparisons, attribution and risk analysis, using daily stock-level transaction data. In addition, performance consultancy services include board report presentations, investment process review and performance analysis training.
Eric Daubresse, managing director of Fortis SAMS Analytical Services said: By utilising portfolio data from an automated custodian interface, a client can obtain full transparency over its investments.
“This analysis provides an institutional investor with powerful controls which are independent of the investment manager.”
