UK - The Northern Trust multi-manager business in the UK has appointed Sharon Fay of AllianceBernstein to the UK equity section of its multi-manager fund.
AllianceBernstein's deep value-based style was felt appropriate to anchor the value exposure of the fund and provide the optimum mix. Other UK equity managers within the fund are Jupiter, SG Asset Management and Mirabaud.
Michael Kinney, director of research for multi-manager products, said: We were impressed with AllianceBernstein's primary research skills and believe that its management style offers a good fit with the value needs of the UK equity section of the multi-manager fund.
Sharon Fay has a proven and successful track record in the US and Canada and we are confident in her leadership and portfolio management skills. The new structure and mix of styles will ensure the fund is able to benefit in the full range of market cycles
