UK - A Discussion paper on the role of ethical values in the financial services industry has been put out by the Financial Services Authority.
The paper aims to offer a framework for action to achieve higher standards in the industry, thereby increasing consumer trust and confidence.
FSA chairman Howard Davies said: “This paper focuses on the territory where business ethics and regulation meet.
“We want to establish a clear and explicit shared understanding about what integrity means in practice and the paper sets out a framework for discussion.”
Jonathan Stapleton asks whether newly-accredited professional trustees should be a statutory fixture on pension scheme boards.
