UK - SEI has appointed Alan Lauder as managing director of institutional distribution partnerships.
He reports to Patrick Disney, managing director and head of institutional business development.
Lauder has moved to London after heading up SEI’s South African office. His replacement in South Africa is Rudolf Schmidt who was formerly head of international equity sales and strategy at CLSA.
Lauder’s appointment comes shortly after SEI’s recent partnership deal with Barnett Waddingham who will use SEI as their preferred manager-of-manager provider.
Lauder will also be working with SEI’s IFA partners in referring institutional business.

The directors of collapsed construction giant Carillion were "contemptuous" of funding their defined benefit (DB) pension schemes, and "refused to give an inch", Frank Field has alleged.
