EUROPE - Allianz Global Investors Europe CEO Elizabeth Corley has been appointed chairman of the Forum of European Asset Managers (FEAM), replacing Axa Investment Managers' Nicolas Moreau. Corley, who was elected to FEAM's management committee in May 2005, said the coming year would be important for asset managers in Europe, as they anticipated continuing development of policy proposals for the industry by the European Commission.
“Asset managers play a crucial role in the management of savings and pensions money for individuals across Europe and this responsibility is likely to rise as the dependency on state provision declines,” she said.
FEAM is an association primarily comprised of the chief executives of European investment management companies, aimed at supporting pan-regional asset managers interest. By Damian Clarkson
