Swiss firm Zurich Financial Services has appointed Max W. Gurtner as head of media relations.
Gurtner takes over his functions from Iris Roth, who will leave the company by the end of the year to move back into the consulting business.
He will also assume the role of media spokesperson for the group, effective November 1, 2001.
Gurtner embarked on a career in communications and public relations at The Gottlieb Duttweiler Institute - think tank of Swiss retailer Migros.
Most recently he was head of corporate communications and a member of group management board for ISMM Group and its operating company, ISL Worldwide.
