SWITZERLAND - Sustainable Asset Management (SAM) has appointed Christian Werner head of research, effective immediately.
Werner, who joins from Germany’s Allianz Group where he held various top management positions, will be in charge of the financial and sustainability specialists in SAM Group’s research team.
Having served as European head of research with Allianz Asset Management and Deutscher Investment Trust and Allianz Dresdner Asset Management in Frankfurt, his last post there was as global research manager.
In this capacity, Werner was member of the committee responsible for making decisions for all global research activities, as well as acting as coordinator of the global research teams in Europe, the US, Japan and Asia. He was also head of the global health care team and portfolio manager for both institutional and retail funds.
Werner took up his position at SAM in February.
