FRANCE - Edhec Risk and Asset Management Research Centre has combined its business partnership and consultancy activities under a separate investment research division.
The department will be managed by Noel Amenc, who heads up Edhec Risk and Asset Management Research centre, with assistance from Jean-Rene Giraud who, apart from managing Edhec-Risk Advisory, will also be the business development manager for the research centre.
The firm said it was implementing a “consulting offering for asset allocation and investment product design that is benefiting from the results of the centre’s research”.
As part of the change, the research programmes are now placed under the responsibility of Lionel Martellini, who has been appointed delegate director of the centre.
The firm said the new Edhec Investment Research branch was attracting interest from European asset management professionals with a number of partnerships expected in coming months.
“We are convinced that only a strong and scientifically demanding bond between our school and the industry will ensure not only that our research programmes last, but also that they continue to be of quality,” said Amenc.
PwC, KPMG, EY and Deloitte must break up their consultancy and audit businesses into distinct firms to provide greater focus on the "most challenging and objective audits", the competition watchdog has said.
