US - Investment house US Bancorp Piper Jaffray Asset Management has bolstered its research capabilities with the appointment of two research analysts.
The new hires will be based in Milwaukee.
Tom Eck and Art Poole, both previously with Strong Capital Management (SCM) of Wisconsin will support mutual fund operations.
Since Q1 1999, the firm has added eight new employees to its Milwaukee activities.
Eck joins as a co-manager of the Health Sciences Fund. He will also serve as a senior research analyst focusing on medical devices and health care services.
Poole joins the firm as a research analyst focusing on the Firstar MicroCap, MidCap Core Equity and SmallCap Core Equity funds.
