NETHERLANDS - Feike Goudsmit has joined Threadneedle Investments' new branch in Amsterdam, and will take up the role of head of distribution Netherlands.
Goudsmit joined Threadneedle from Rabo Securities, where he was managing director, head of equity sales.
Threadneedle said the new branch formed part of its changing strategy, and would now also target institutions, particularly pension funds and insurance companies, offering both core asset classes and other niche equity and bond products.
Head of European distribution Christian Pellis described Netherlands as a key market in Europe, and said investors were increasingly looking for new added value investment approaches.
“Since the Dutch market is currently going through significant changes, we feel that we now need a local presence in Amsterdam in order to respond to these new opportunities, especially in the institutional area.”
