Edinburgh Fund Managers has appointed Robert Waugh from asset manager Phillips & Drew as director of UK large cap equities.
Waugh’s main responsibilities will be directing sector strategy and stock selection for £3.6bn UK equity portfolios and managing the large cap team. He will also work closely with the UK institutional business team.
Waugh - who will be based in Edinburgh - will report to Iain Beattie, deputy chief investment officer.
He joins Edinburgh after 15 years at P&D, more recently as head of specialist UK equities.
His arrival follows the recent appointment of David Binnie, also to Edinburgh’s UK large cap team. Binnie was head of UK equities at Scottish Life.
