UK - Barclays Global Investors' active UK equity fund, the Ascent Life UK advanced fund outperformed the FTSE All-Share Index by 2.3% in 2002.
Over the past five years, the fund has outperformed the FTSE All-Share Index by 2%, which has fallen by 22.2% since January 1998.
BGI chief investment officer, Europe active equities Matthew Annable said: “Consistent returns over the long-term are key for sustained portfolio growth.
“Adding a consistent 1-2% per annum to that outperformance considerably reduces clients’ funding pressures.”
The Pensions Regulator (TPR) has granted 11 master trusts extensions to apply for authorisation, as it confirms it has received 22 applications ahead of the 31 March deadline.
