NETHERLANDS - Ad Kok is to join Watson Wyatt Insurance Consulting as head of the firm's Dutch practice on June 1.
The Amstelveen-based firm is a new unit created specifically to provide consulting advice to insurance companies and other financial institutions.
Prior to joining Watson Wyatt, Kok was senior vice-president of the corporate actuarial department with Aegon. Earlier in his career he led Tillinghast's Dutch consulting practice.
Philip Brook, global head of Watson Wyatt's insurance & financial services practice, said: Through [Ad’s] work with Aegon and with Groupe Consultatif he is at the forefront of the development of an International Accounting Standard for insurance companies.
“The success of our insurance and financial consulting activities is highly dependent on our ability to attract people of Ad's calibre to our team.
Anton Deppe, the current leader of the Watson Wyatt Brans & Co insurance consulting team, will join Kok to form the management team of the practice.
They will lead a team of consultants working in financial, economic and actuarial fields, including risk management.
