Baring Asset Management (BAM) has appointed WM Company's John Misselbrook as its chief operating officer.
He will be responsible for BAM’s group operations and services, consisting of IT, HR, risk, e-Business, business services and special projects, covering about 350 employees. He will report to John Bolsover, chairman and CEO.
He joins BAM from the WM Company where he worked as managing director for investment administration.
Prior to that he worked as chief financial officer for Asia at LGT Asset Management (1992-1998) and then became director of operations for Asia at Invesco.
Misselbrook succeeds Peter Walsh, who retires after 21 years with BAM in Guernsey and London.
