FINLAND - Finnish insurer Sampo has made several senior appointments, effective from October.
Hannu Vuola is the new head of group communications, replacing Pertti Nurvala. He was previously communications manager at Evli Bank.
Georg Schubiger has been appointed vice president, business development. He was previously an associate principal in McKinsey & Company.
Topi Piela is now director of the private equity unit and managing director of Mandatum Private Funds. Before, he was equity investment director of the Ilmarinen Mutual Pension Insurance Company and managing director of Arctos Fund Management Company.
In addition, Arto Jurttila, who continues as a director in Sampo’s retail bank, has left the board of directors.
