UK - Telecommunications firm Hutchison 3G has introduced a new online benefits system and pensions administration service for its 2000 UK staff.
Staff will now have access to an online transactional system and interactive pension calculator, provided by Orbit Benefits and Scottish Equitable.
Hutchison director of reward Andy Wiles said: “It is essential that our people are able to make informed decisions which will help them to achieve their longer-term retirement goals.”
Wiles said that to do this, employees must understand the implications of changing their monthly contributions.
“They need to have immediate access to real-time information on how their investment are performing.”
The contract with Oribit includes a profit-sharing arrangement, where Hutchison can benefit from transactions through the system and the ongoing cost savings from streamlined administration processes.
PwC, KPMG, EY and Deloitte must break up their consultancy and audit businesses into distinct firms to provide greater focus on the "most challenging and objective audits", the competition watchdog has said.
The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has released its first batch of guidance setting out how the guaranteed minimum pension (GMP) conversion legislation may be used to resolve unequal payments.
