UK - AXA Investment Managers (AXA IM) is targeting pension fund and insurance markets with the appointment of Bruce Gascoine as an institutional sales director in the UK.
Gascoine joins AXA IM from Julius Baer Investments where he was director of institutional business development. He bring with him 16 years experience of trading and sales in fixed-income markets, having worked previously for investment banks Barclays Capital, SG Warburg, CCF and Banque Indosuez.
Commenting on the hire, Virginia Holmes, chief executive of AXA IM in the UK, said:
“[The] appointment underlines our commitment to establishing AXA IM as a leading player in the institutional market following the launch of our institutional pooled fund range at the end of last year.”
Currently, AXA IM has assets under management of almost £52bn in the UK.
