AUSTRIA - Carl Spaengler KAG has appointed F&C Asset Management to manage a share voting and governance socially responsible investment engagement overlay programme.
F&C will apply its responsible engagement overlay programme to seven of Spaengler’s mutual equity funds with assets under management worth e260m.
Michel Bernard, director of institutional funds at F&C, said it was the company’s first mandate in Austria. “This is an indication that awareness of governance and SRI issues across continental Europe and beyond the pension fund community is growing,” said Bernard.
