NETHERLANDS - Jan Nijssen has been appointed as global head of pensions at Dutch financial services firm ING, effective July 1, 2003.
Nijssen will be responsible for ING's global pension strategy and will report to Fred Hubbell. He will develop local pension activities and leverage global opportunities
He remains a member of the executive committee ING Europe and will become a member of the executive committee for ING Americas and ING Asia/Pacific as of July 1, 2003. Nijssen is currently chairman of the management committee of ING Central Europe and will be succeeded by Eli Leenaars, currently head of retail financial services for ING South West Europe, in September 2003. Leenaars will report to Michel Tilmant.
Jan op de Beeck, currently chairman of the country management committee ING Romania, will be proposed as Leenaars’ successor.
