UK - Mellon Global Alternative Investments has hired Stuart Slater as senior research analyst.
Slater will report to both Derek Stewart and Scott MacDonald, directors of MGAI.
In his new role, Slater will be responsible for analysing hedge fund strategies and managers.
From 1997 to 2001, he was an equity fund manager at Morley Fund Management, and before that an equity analyst, first with NatWest Securities and then with NatWest Investment Management.
