GLOBAL - Mick Sweeney has been appointed CEO of Bank of Ireland Asset Management and deputy CEO of the Asset Management Services Division (AMS).
Sweeney, who is currently chief executive of global markets with the Bank of Ireland Group will report to Kevin Dolan, CEO of the AMS division. The appointment will take effect from 1 April.
Dolan, CEO of the AMS division said: “Sweeney will bring a wealth of experience and expertise to these new roles that will add greatly to the existing strength of the management team at BIAM.”
Sweeney’s appointment follows the expansion of the of the AMS division with the recent acquisition of Guggenheim Alternative Asset Management, bringing the number of businesses to four including BIAM, Iridian and Bank of Ireland Securities Services.
