US - IXIS Asset Management (IXIS AM) Group has appointed Jeremiah H. Chafkin president and CEO of the group's US-based asset management arm.
Chafkin will report to Peter S. Voss, president and CEO of IXIS AM, and will oversee the group’s operations in the US and Asia.
Prior to joining IXIS AM, Chafkin served as executive VP, client services portfolio solutions for Schwab Investor Services.
Voss said: “Jerry has a strong background in the asset management business and will be an asset to the group. His experience in overseeing a broad range of business units for Schwab will fit well with our structure as a federal organisation.
Voss will continue as CEO of global operations, which includes North America, Europe and Asia as well as the group’s global distribution activities.
