SCOTLAND - Fraser Smart (pictured) has left Hymans Robertson after eight years to join Buck Consultants as principal and senior consulting actuary.
Smart will manage Buck’s Edinburgh office and has been tasked with continuing the development of Buck’s Edinburgh practice. His responsibilities will include representation on Buck Consultants’ UK management board, training and development, overall client relations, and recruitment.
At Hymans, Smart was partner and head of the Glasgow office. Over the last three years, he managed Hymans’ scheme design & management practice, and recently led the development of a new practice to provide services to the corporate, rather than the trustee, market.
