UK - Edinburgh Fund Managers has appointed Bill Blakey as head of discretionary investment sales, based in London.
Blakey joins EFM - which is in talks with firms over a possible takeover - from Close Finsbury Asset Management where he was a regional sales director for the Midlands, East Anglia and City regions.
He will now be managing and developing business with discretionary investment managers and the multi-manager market.
Commenting on his appointment, Blakey said: “Now is an exciting time to be joining Edinburgh Fund Managers, which has undertaken a number of strategic changes over the past six months, enabling it to offer a genuine alternative in the market place.
“There are some excellent people who seem very committed to making a difference.”
