UK - Britannic Retirement Solutions has closed to new annuity business with immediate effect.
The financial services company said the decision was a result of low risk-adjusted returns on products that it felt were insufficient to justify investing further capital in the business.
Britannic chief executive Paul Thompson said: “This is a decision taken in the light of the group’s strategy and our view on prospective returns.”
