UK - Charles Russell law firm has appointed solicitor Kris Weber as associate with overall responsibility for the firm's pension practice.
Weber was formerly a senior solicitor at Stephenson Harwood. His arrival follows that of assistant solicitor and pensions specialist Andy Williams from Eversheds and increases the size of Charles Russell’s employment team to 19, all of whom specialise in either employment or pensions law.
Commenting on Weber’s appointment, David Green, head of the employment team, said: “We are putting a dedicated pensions team in place in direct response to the needs of our clients.
“Pensions is a very important and growing area of the law, with current issues surrounding areas such as stakeholder pensions, ill-health, early retirements and pension scheme funding being a priority for many employers.”
