UK - Threadneedle Investments has appointed Simon Bond to its fixed income team. Bond will be responsible for a number of institutional investment grade credit funds, working with David Oliphant, Trudie Rothery and Andrew Crawford.
He joins from AXA, where he worked as an investment manager.
Robert Stirling, head of fixed income, said: We anticipated growth in investor demand for fixed interest products some time ago and have built up our resources accordingly. We now have 26 highly experienced investment professionals in our team, responsible for nearly £21bn of assets.”

UK inflation unexpectedly rose to 2.7% in August, beating analysts' expectations of a drop to 2.4% from 2.5% the previous month.
