UK - Man Investments has launched a capital guaranteed fund which, it claims, will return at least 100% of investors' money, as well as any investment gains.
The Man Global Diversified Series 2 fund would invest in a variety of strategies which investors can access in the form of US dollar/euro capital bonds or US dollar/euro income bonds.
The hedge fund specialist said the US dollar/euro capital bonds and the US dollar/euro income bonds would target annualised returns of 13-15%, for an annualised volatility of 7-8%.
However, while the capital class bonds will offer investors a investment profit lock-in feature, the income class bonds offer interest of 2.5% for the first two years, guaranteed.
After the first two years and the last guaranteed coupon payment has been made, investors will receive a discretionary bonus.
The fund will include allocations to arbitrage, directional and equity hedge and long/short strategies.
