US - Jerry Baudin has be re-elected to the board of the US$14bn Teachers' Retirement System of Louisiana (TRSL) board of trustees, and will serve another four-year term beginning January 1, 2007.
Baudin received a majority of the vote to avoid run-off elections. He is vice chancellor of finance and administrative services at Louisiana State University.
In earlier news, Sheryl Abshire was also re-elected to the board.
She was first elected to the board in 1991, and is employed as the administrative co-ordinator of technology with the Calcasieu Parish School Board.
