UK - Universities Superannuation Scheme has promoted existing managers Bernie Steventon (pictured) and Brendan Mulkern to the newly created posts of pensions operations manager and pensions policy manager respectively.
The reorganisation of the senior management structure follows a policy decision to split the functions of the position of chief pensions manager between two people, the fund said in a press statement.
Steventon has 18 years experience in the pensions industry, eight of which have been with USS. She now has overall responsibility for day-to-day pension administration and staffing matters.
Mulkern, who has 16 years pensions experience with local authorities and USS, is responsible for issues such as scheme rules and policy.
