UK - International project management and services company AMEC has appointed State Street as global custodian for its UK pension schemes covering £950m in assets.
Under the terms of the brief, State Street will provide custody services to the £900m AMEC staff pension scheme and the £50m AMEC executive pension scheme.
All of the assets will be serviced from State Street’s Edinburgh offices.
“State Street offered us an excellent range of core and peripheral custody products,” said Garry Lloyd, corporate pensions manager at AMEC.
Mercer Investment Consulting advised the company in its custody search.
The Pensions Regulator (TPR) has granted 11 master trusts extensions to apply for authorisation, as it confirms it has received 22 applications ahead of the 31 March deadline.
