US - Nuveen Investments has hired Alan Brown as managing director, chief marketing officer with effect from November 7.
Brown will be responsible for all marketing disciplines and activities across the firm, with a particular focus on separately managed accounts and electronic distribution.
He joins the firm with over 15 years experience in marketing and sales, most recently as chief marketing officer for electronic retailers Amazon.com. Previously, Brown held senior marketing positions at MasterCard International and US BanCorp.
Nuveen Investments is a unit of The John Nuveen Company and targets high-net-worth clients and institutional clients.
