UK - Former Gartmore chief Paul Myners is to head a review into proxy voting.
Myners will chair the Shareholder Voting Working Group, which will look at the use of proxy votes and develop a programme to remove any obstacles to casting them at company meetings.
The Shareholder Voting Working Group brings together several organisations, including the IMA, the NAPF and the ABI to improve the voting process.
