US - Governor Rick Perry has appointed James Lee of Houston to the board of trustees of the US$100bn Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS).
The board members act as trustees for TRS funds, securities and other assets.
Lee is a member of the National Association of Securities Dealers and president of the Electronic Traders Association. He also serves on the board of the Nasdaq-listed company IncrediMail.
Lee received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from The University of Texas at Austin. He also received an executive certification from the Centre for Hedge Fund Research and Education at the London Business School.
Lee’s appointment is subject to confirmation by the Texas senate. His term on the board is set to expire on 31 August, 2007.
