FRANCE - CDC IXIS Asset Management has targeted Italy with the launch of CDC IXIS Asset Management Italia SGR (Societa di Gestione del Risparmlo).
SGR will offer asset management services directly to Italian institutional investors while its products will also be accessible to retail investors.
CDC IXIS has been active in the Italian market since 1999 through the CDC International Fund, a Luxembourg umbrella fund with sub-funds covering all asset classes.
Daniel Roy, CDC IXIS Asset Management CEO stated: “The Italian asset management market is one of the fastest growing in Europe and the development of our presence there is one of our key strategic goals in terms of international expansion.”
Anthony Marquie, MD of CDC IXIS Asset Management Italia SGR, added: “The role of the SGR will be to promote all the activities of the CDC IXIS AM Group in Italy.
“The Italian market is characterised by a growing demand for international products and services and with our global expertise we are very well positioned to provide the Italian clientele with tailor-made investment solutions.”
