UK - GR Communications, the specialist financial PR and communication consultancy, has appointed Martyn Hurd as non-executive director.
As a trustee and former HR director for ITN, Hurd will develop GRC’s pension fund and employee benefits communications work as the firm continues to expand its business in these areas.
Ellen Gracey, founder and director of GRC said: “[Martyn’s] strategic advice across our business will allow us to explore new opportunities.
“Also, a growing part of our business is pension and benefits communications and, with more and more schemes moving to DC platforms and the challenges of SMPI looming on the horizon, Martyn’s input will be invaluable to us.”
Hurd is a company trustee of the ITN Pension Scheme and council member of the Broadcast Journalism Training Council. He retired from ITN in 2003 to run his own business consultancy.
