UK - Baring Asset Management has made two new appointments, Mary Haly and Ian Pascal, to its investment and marketing divisions respectively.
Haly joins Baring’s UK portfolio construction group, which is responsible for UK equity policy. In her new role, Haly will be responsible for concentrated, segregated UK equity mandates and UK model portfolios within global and international equity briefs. She will report to Jan Mantel, Baring’s head of uk and european investment.
Prior to her arrival at Baring’s, Haly spent four years at SG Asset Management as an investment manager and head of research for the UK equity team. At SG, she managed the firm’s FTSE 350 benchmarked institutional pooled fund.
The other new arrival, Pascal, will take up the position of marketing director, head of fund marketing and corporate communications. Pascal will be responsible for mutual fund promotion, fund development and corporate communications throughout the UK and Europe. Pascal joins the firm from Old Mutual, where he was head of marketing.
