Gissings has appointed Prudential's Alan Smith as divisional director, responsible for one of the consultants multi-disciplined teams.
Smith, who started work at Gissings on Monday, takes responsibility for the consultant's Constable team. His brief is to develop that particular team's business, and will also be responsible for client relationships.
Prior his joining Gissings, Smith was managing director, distribution at Prudential. During the 23 years he spent at Prudential, Smith also served as managing director, group pensions.
Speaking about Smith's appointment, Gissings director Eamonn O'Connor said: Alan brings a wealth of experience in the field of pensions and actuarial services. Alan’s knowledge of the pensions market will be integral to Gissings growth.
