UK - Independent Trustee Services (ITS) has been appointed as professional trustee to the £35m Morgan Sindall Retirement Benefits Plan.
The Morgan Sindall scheme provides pension benefits to around 1400 active employees of the group, and has around 1200 deferred members.
Chris Martin, ITS managing director, said the company had been appointed by more than 100 companies since its inception in 1992.
“It’s very much a growing business because of all the legislative and financial challenges facing pension schemes in the current environment, and also because of the conflict of interest issues which may arise if you are the director of a company and also a trustee,” he said.
“We see an awful lot of work around conflict of interest at the moment.”
