AUSTRIA - BVP Pensionskassen, the EUR985m Austrian multi-employer fund, is set to tender for new managers in the second quarter.
Michaela Attermeyer, investment controller at the fund, said that the fund would make an announcement regarding the possible searches early in the second quarter. She declined to reveal any further details.
Earlier this year, State Street Global Advisors (SSgA) was awarded a EUR15m fund of fund equities mandate by BVP. Attermeyer said that funding for SSgA's mandate came from a rebalancing of its equities and bonds portfolios. SSgA also manages EUR20m in an index fund for BVP.
The fund is advised by the Swiss consultancy Ecofin.
