UK - Merrill Lynch Investment Managers has hired John Leonard as fund manager in its global equity team from Citigroup.
Leonard joins a 13 strong team, which manages US$7bn in assets. He will co-manage the investments in the global financials sector with the team’s existing fund manager, Niall Gallagher, and will report to Ian Rowley, head of the MLIM global equity team.
At Citigroup he was global coordinator for financial services research.
Commenting on the appointment, Ian Rowley said: There is a growing demand from clients around the world for specialist global equity management. John is an excellent addition to the team.”
