US - JPMorgan Investor Services (JPMIS) has appointed Michael Leary to oversee compliance solutions, a program designed to support the chief compliance officers of its clients.
Commenting on the hire, Virginia Meany, global fund services produce executive, said: “This appointment demonstrates our commitment to helping our clients be as responsive to the industry regulations as possible. Our goal is to work beyond providing policies and procedures, and to help develop long-term impractical and consultative solutions.”
Leary will serve as a liaison between clients’ chief compliance officers and JPMorgan Investor Services operational teams, the firm said.
Having managed a variety of fund servicing functions for JPMorgan for the past 11 years, Leary, a certified public accountant, has an understanding of the investment company industry.
“We are now poised to support our clients with any future regulatory challenges that lie ahead of us,” Meany said. “We feel that this new regulatory environment is a long-term journey.”
