Pension schemes face ban on commodity investments

Pension funds around the world could see commodities ripped out of portfolios, if proposed legislation by the US Senate forbidding investment in the asset class is passed.

Senators from the Committee on Homeland and Security and Governmental Affairs have issued proposals which would prevent schemes with over $500m in assets trading agricultural or energy commodities ...
