EUROPE - Gartmore has strengthened its German and Italian offices with three more appointments.
Markus Bernard and Anke Fremion join the firm’s Frankfurt office. Bernard joins from Allianz and will be responsible for German core accounts. Fremion, who previously worked for Commerzbank Asset Management, will now oversee business development in Switzerland and French-speaking Luxembourg.
Gartmore Italia has also lured Zurich Investments’ Diego Campagnoli to its Milan office. Campagnoli will head up client relations for institutional investors, commercial banks, private banks, and other bancassurance distributors.
On a separate note Avril O’Connor joins Gartmore as corporate communications manager, based in London. She will focus on institutional and corporate business.
